Champoluc cableway and WoodJoint design

It’s an honor for us to publish a project made by one of our users. In fact, also by using our APF software WoodJoint, he has designed a very complex timber beams roof. Hard to design both from the structural point of view and for its timber joints calculation.

This charming project is the new cableway station Champoluc-Crest situated in Aosta Valley. The roof is made with timber beams and glass, it presents a high level of complexity for its geometry and structural analysis/ structural calculation, for its timber joints and the carpentry connections.

We want to thank the engineer who made this project, eng. Giancarlo Casella, who support us and supplied the design documents we show below, made with the aid of our software WoodJoint.

We also thank the company Chenevier s.p.a. that carried out a great work both to aesthetical and technical-structural level.
